Godox AD-B2 Dual Power Flash Bracket for AD200

Godox AD-B2 Dual Power Flash Bracket for Godox AD200 / AD200 Pro combines two Godox AD200 / EVOLV 200 strobes into a single 400Ws light source, with Bowens S-type mount, and dual LED modelling lights. AD-B2 bracket can run either with a single AD200 body attached to position 1 with the bulb in the center socket to give an even distribution of light, or with 2 AD200s attached with a bulb top and bottom.

AD-B2 twin bracket is nice and compact for transport. Regular Bowens S-type modifiers and reflectors can be easily attached to the convenient 400Ws twin flash set up. The most interesting fact about AD-B2 is that not only it doubles the power to 400Ws, but it gives you more than that. Pair of AD200 units with a pair of AD200 bulbs comes pretty close to matching the AD600 in power. Not too far off, at all.

AD-B2 give a power increase of up to 2/3rds of a stop. The simple explanation is that AD-B2 design adds a little bit of reflection which results in a big increase in power efficiency. It doesn’t sound like a whole lot, but it’s a 30% bump in power efficiency. Being able to knock your lights down by even a third of a stop means faster recycle times and increased battery life, even if you don’t need the power.

That is important fact to consider for all customers who have doubts whether to choose AD600 strobe or two AD200. AD200 proved itself as an extremely versatile light, and many customers prefer to carry two of AD200s and AD-B2 bracket, so when they need power they can double it, and when they do not need power they can have two separate lights.
