Shanny SN910EX-RF

$126.99

Shanny SN910EX-RF is an excellent flash. The 2.4 GHz radio transmission built-in is amazing since it is very reliable and gives very accurate results. It is really well built and it is loaded with features. The addition of built-in transceivers was something that Nikon users have been waiting for and We think Shanny made the right step of making this mainstream

Shanny SN910EX-RF features a built-in 2.4 GHz TTL transceiver, which can function both as a master and a slave to other SN910EX-RF flashes. Shanny’s so-called W-CLS, or Wireless Creative Lighting System is an aftermarket radio protocol for Nikon-compatible flashes
Shanny has managed to make a flash that not only performs excellent, but is also very user friendly

Description

Shanny SN910EX-RF | Radio enabled Speedlite Flash for Nikon

Shanny SN910EX-RF is the current flagship Shanny speedlite flash for Nikon DSLRs. SN910EX-RF flash comes with full i-TTL enabled 2.4GHz radio transceivers built inside, providing both Radio Master and Slave Modes. We can say that this Shanny SN910EX-RF is very similar to Nikon SB910, but slightly upgraded in some respects. Shanny’s RF radio system for Nikon follows the original Nikon CLS (Creative Lighting System) Optic Wireless functions quite closely, only communicating via a more reliable radio transmission instead of optic signals.

SN910EX-RF is a fully featured i-TTL hot-shoe speedlite flash for Nikon shooters. The SN910EX-RF basically provides the functions of a Nikon SB-910, though wrapped in a body almost identical to the Canon 600EX-RT Speedlite. The SN910EX-RF supports HSS (high-speed sync), 1st and 2nd curtain synchronization modes and has a high guide number of 60(ISO100, 200mm). For on-camera use, it provides nearly all of the functions of a Nikon SB910, though for a small fraction of the price.

SN910EX-RF is one of the best Shanny flashes for both professional or advanced amateur Nikon shooters. It is an excellent choice for on-camera use as well as off-camera use in combination with Shanny SN910TX transmitter. The build quality is great and it feels solid. It is feature rich, supporting i-TTL, HSS, 2nd curtain sync, wireless radio master and slave modes, auto and manual zoom, flash exposure compensation, flash exposure bracketing and much more.

If you are looking for a great value flash for on camera work then the Shanny SN910EX-RF is definitely one to consider. SN910EX-RF flash is great for the money. When you factor in the price then it’s an absolute bargain. Shanny SN910EX-RF is very impressive for the remarkably low price compared to the Nikon SB910. The power can really match the Nikon flash, and recycle is equally fast. HSS provides the same amount of light as the SB910 flash, and the SN910EX-RF even outperformed the SB910 in shots before heat protection cut in.

Shanny SN910EX-RF is fully compatible with Nikon i-TTL metering. It features a powerful guide number of 60m (ISO 100, 200mm) as well as an impressive zoom range of 20-200mm, along with a wide-angle diffuser for 14mm coverage on full-frame cameras. Bounce lighting is also possible with tilt from -7 to 90° and rotation left and right 180°. The SN910EX-RF TTL exposures are very good and quite consistent, bounced or direct. Flash Expsoure Compensation (FEC) adjustments are working as they should

SN910EX-RF has a recycle time of about 1.8 seconds and has high-speed sync, 1st and 2nd curtain synchronization settings. Also, it supports a multi flash stroboscopic mode for multiple flashes during a single exposure. It runs on 4 AA batteries and comes with a mini stand.

The build quality of the SN910EX-RF (and all similar Shanny flashes) appears really excellent. The case is almost identical to the Canon 600EX-RT, though you can notice that the plastic is just a little bit less refined, and the main dial and buttons just a little harder to operate, which is still much better than you would expect from the speedlite flash of this price tag.

The SN910EX-RF (and similar Shanny flashes) are still quite clearly matching the Nikon SB910 for light output though. So the Shanny flashes can really match the Nikon SB910 for power, where many other third party flashes are at at least 1/3 of a stop bellow.
