Yongnuo YNE3-RX is the first Canon RT radio compatible receiver unit, now opening the system up to include legacy ETTL slave flash units like the previous Canon 580EX II. This receiver also allows manual studio lights or speedlites to be fired when using RT transmitter unit as well. This means that non RT speedlites like the Canon 580EX II or YongNuo YN-568EX II can now act as RT compatible slave flashes when using the Canon ST-E3-RT / YN-E3-RT, or 600EX-RT / YN600EX-RT as a transmitter. A lack of separate receiver unit has previously been the biggest limitation to the industry leading Canon RT radio flash system so now Yongnuo are bridging together 2 of Canon’s completely separate, and previously incompatible, radio flash systems with the YN-E3-RX receiver

Yongnuo YNE3-RX | Wireless flash receiver for Canon RT system

Yongnuo YNE3-RX is the world’s first E-TTL wireless flash receiver for Canon’s new RT flash system. It makes all E-TTL flashes compatible with RT master units like Canon 600EX-RT / Yongnuo YN600EX-RT, and commanders as ST-E3-RT and YN-E3-RT.

Yongnuo YN-E3-RX allows you to remotely trigger any compatible E-TTL flash speedlite/studio strobe with this receiver and Yongnuo or Canon commander unit. As a commander unit you can use Canon ST-E3-RT controller, Yongnuo YN-E3-RT controller or flash speedlites with master mode like Canon 600EX-RT (II), Yongnuo YN600EX-RT (II), YN968EX-RT… The receiver has a 1/4″-20 female mounting thread, a female hot shoe, and USB port for firmware upgrades. Operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency, the receiver has 15 channels to prevent interference and can wirelessly trigger flash units in any of its 5 groups singly or combined at distances up to 100m. The user-friendly LCD screen allows monitoring of channel and groups in use, battery level and +/- flash exposure compensation. It also indicates E-TTL, Manual or Multi (stroboscopic) flash mode selection. The Yongnuo YN-E3-RX runs for a total of 24 hours on 2 separately purchased AA batteries.
